In 1990, Charles and Peggy bought the building in Old Town Sherwood that was originally Sherwood's Post Office. After a few months of renovation, Railroad Street Antique Mall opened in April 1990. Since then, Railroad Street Antique Mall has attracted visitors from as far away as Australia and Japan.
Charles has always had a love of antiques, originally stemming from digging old bottles with his father, Vince, when he was a kid and his father's long time antique business that was also located in Sherwood for more than 30 years. Charles strives to have a store full of truly great merchandise. He is constantly looking for unique items to buy and sell and prides himself on having well organized display cases full of antiques and collectibles for his customers. In September 2013, Railroad Street Antique Mall underwent a full renovation, completely gutting the building and taking the inside down to the dirt, reopening Thanksgiving weekend 2013. |
